I am an American writer and editor based in Prague with close to twenty years’ experience developing content across a variety of media platforms. I provide editing, copywriting, proofreading, and content creation services to a diverse mix of international clients.

I started my career in the late 1990s in New York where I did editorial bootcamp at women’s magazines McCall’s, American Baby (now Parents), Weight Watchers, and Woman’s World. I still pop up in Google searches for how to moisturize your baby!

I transitioned to advertising in the mid 2000s working at a boutique agency for Whirlpool appliances where I got an education in making toasters sound sexy and three-martini lunches.

Not long for that world I decamped to Prague in 2005 where over time I’ve built up a portfolio of clients ranging from luxury brands to start-ups, and developed a wide coverage area writing daily news. In 2019 alone I’ve written about high-design vibrators and digital disruption. My work has also appeared in Czech publications including this 2013 essay on lessons I’ve learned from Czech women.

Another professional milestone was being asked to participate in a panel discussion for the 2019 American Spring Festival on what it’s like to live and write in the Czech Republic. See a video of that talk here.

I’m also a mom to two brilliant little bilinguals who regularly accompany me on assignment – whether they like it or not!
